Connections to Contracts – Procurement Forum

Newport News Purchasing Office will host Connections to Contracts for small businesses interested in providing goods and services to the city, state, public schools, prime, and housing authority. Resource partners will also be onsite to provide information on their resource and services. 

This event provides a unique opportunity for local and regional firms to directly engage with procurement personnel. Vendors will have the opportunity to market goods and services, share capability statements, understand the vendor registration processes, and learn of upcoming bidding opportunities directly from representatives who ultimately make purchasing decisions on behalf of their specific agency. 

This event is targeted at small businesses, with an emphasis on minority-owned, women-owned, and emerging businesses. A representative from the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity will be onsite to conduct a workshop on how to become SWaM certified and answer questions. Hear from the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority on how you can successfully gain access to capital!
